Carl Snitkin came all the way from New London, Connecticut, Allen Lord and John Dzurenko from New Jersey, Felix Gomes and Joe Weinstein from Staten Island, New York, and Ronny Ray and Jim Witt from Dallas….With the sport in its infancy, it came as no surprise that some of the athletes would go to far extremes to gain an edge…”
