Thinking of getting my first pair of squat shoes. Anyone have a pair and know the lift size? Trying to decide between these and the new Rogue's
Pendlay Squat Shoes (http://www.muscledriverusa.com/doblsuwesh.html)

Those shoes there look just like the Rouge shoes from last year. My pair have a .75" heel.

Killer. For $90, I'll take it. I'm used to squatting either barefoot or in Chuck's; how much different is it going to be when I lace those up?

i have this pair of shoes. i love them but you should know that the heel is pretty high. wasn't a problem for me but might be for others.

PS. If this is the same pair that I bought from Pendlay about 4 months ago it does not have a .75" heel. mine are about 1.25.

Damn, I don't want to get a pair that's too high and screw up my form

Just email Glenn/Muscledriver and ask about the heel height.
They'll get you all taken care of!

Did that; looking forward to getting a reply. Should have done this sooner, since I'd like to get them for Christmas

I have worn Stefan Botev's for a year and love them. Great particularly if you have a narrow foot.

I'm going back and forth between just trying these or waiting for the Rogue's to get back into stock. I've never worn a weightlifting shoe and don't want to mess up my form by getting a pair with a high heel height, but I just can't decide

Well I ended up getting the Rogues after getting a response from MuscleDriver about their shoe having a 1.5" lift. Looking forward to trying the squat in the shoe for the first time.

I've had my pair of Rogues for around 14 months, and if I could do it again, I would have ordered a different pair of shoes. The quality was great, but it mainly has to do with the Rogues having a 1 1/4" heel. Way too high for me.

Just wanted to clear up some potential confusion. The guy who said those shoes have a .75" heel and the guy who said it was a 1.25" heel were both correct. I just bought these shoes, and the heel itself is 1.25", but the thickness of the forefoot sole is around .5", meaning the difference between heel and forefoot thickness is .75". The net effect is that you are lifting with a heel raised only .75". Hope that helps anyone else who looks at this thread.

Python nailed it. I got the Rogues and the .75"heel is great for all the lifts. I would buy them again.

I'm looking forward to trying them. I hope the .75" lift isn't too great; I don't want to shift focus from my posterior chain to the quads.
