I just had to share this wonderfully surreal tale.

Yesterday while a Wing Chun class was in session at my dojo (this is also where I live), a woman (probably a streetwalker) ran in and deposited a puppy on the mat, took the fire extinguisher by the door and ran out.

[Apparently it was a very cute pit bull puppy.]

After some work tracking her down, done by the students, she said she wanted her dog back. She was eventually persuaded to trade our fire extinguisher back for her puppy.

It's an unfair trade. Fire extinguishers make OK pets, but puppies are only moderately useful for putting out fires.

At first I thought the thread title meant you would use puppies to extinguish fires. I'm glad this was not the case.

I approve of this negotiation.

Tou've got things mixed up. Cats can be used to start a fire, not to stop one.
