PVC

I was browsing through the bodybuilding.com website (a dangerous endeavor, I know) and was checking out the "Transformations of the Week". Lots of garbage there: most of it is fat guys who weighed 250 lbs, started working out, lost 50 lbs and now look good. And of course they think they "gained" all of the "new" muscle they have from their shitty ass curl variations, when in reality they already had all of this muscle mass to begin with - they were just fat too.
The teen transformations are pretty funny too. Most of them have a kid who's 15 or 16 and weighs somewhere between 100 - 130 lbs. He starts working out, and two years later he's gained 30 lbs. And of course they think they gained all of the new muscle they have from their shitty ass curl variations, when in reality they just went through puberty.
And then there are those guys who lose too much weight, and think they look better now because they have low body fat. An old post by Fluxboy linked to a transformation of a guy who lost a whole shit ton of weight to get down to 139 lbs by doing "Ripptoes" - squat, bench, deadlift, pendlay rows, dips and chinups.
One of the transformations that falls into the latter category particularly caught my eye (http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/male-transformation-andras-szeri.htm). This guy started off at 5'9, 202 lbs, and it says he had 16% body fat. But look at the guy. There's no fucking way he had that much body fat. In the before picture he is what I aspire to be: strong and lean, but not the gay eight-pack kind of lean...I mean the kind of lean where you don't have huge love handles. In the after picture, he weighs 160 lbs and is cut like a younger Gary Gibson. In effect, he has done Starting Strength in reverse. He is the exact opposite of what I want to be. We're both the same height, and his "after" weight is similar to my "before" weight. And I want my "after" weight to be close to his "before" weight (maybe a few pounds heavier though). I essentially want to do the exact opposite of what this man has done. He is Bizarro PVC.
I don't know where this rant is going or what I intended to accomplish with it, but I thought it was relevant. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go drink a liter of milk.
