anyone tried powdered milk? and does it provide the same nutrition/fat/protein etc. as milk milk but in a more inconveniently packaged kind of way?
Powdered milk = dehydrated skim milk. Does that answer your question?

I've heard of adding skimmed milk powder to milk to make it more milkier and to add protein for not a lot of $$
In fact I think there was some Australian sports science study type thing done about it. (Though I may have made that up)
Not sure if this helps.

I cannot provide you with any decent science here, but it is just my guestimation that evaporated milk would be superior to powder milk.
The more you fuck with milk the more nutrients are likely to get damaged or lost. Evaporated milk is less fucked with, and it made from whole milk not skimmed. Plus it usually has vitamin D added which is always good.
So if I was looking for less volume, preserved milk option. I would go for evaporated.

Ever heard of google?
Whole Milk - milk that doesn't have any fat removed from it
Skim Milk - milk that has all the fat removed from it
Evaporated Milk - milk that has 60% of the water removed

so how about drinking evaporated milk? will that provide the same nutrients?
i also saw full cream milk but at the bottom it says 100% whole milk, is that the same as whole milk? sorry for being such a noob, i tried looking at the ingredients and composition and it looked the same.

Normal whole milk you get in big bottles in USA or UK is normally between 3.2 and 4% fat content.
Even with this milk that claims not to be "skimmed" the fat content/creaminess is reduced compared to the milk that comes out of a cow which usually even has blobs of butter like fat in it.
Full cream, is closer to the milk as it comes out of the cow. Usually 5.8% fat.
Eat it dry, its better that way.

damn! nice! good thing I bought it, never noticed the higher fat content!
it's a really nice world out here, the higher the fat percentage the more cheaper the milk is...

I WISH! I spend about $1.50cdn more on whole milk (aka homogonized) over skim, 1% or 2%.
Where in the world are you from? I thought everyone knew everything about milk... I grew up on it.

i dont want to tell you because i'm disappointed of my country being the brodybuilding place that it is. but no bullshit, full cream milk is cheaper than regular milk is cheaper than skimmed milk is cheaper than non fat milk.
