In one of the topics on here you recomended fasted cardio in the AM when talking about carb cycling. Do you recommend doing the cardio on work out days, rest days or both?

Thanks

This is largely situationally dependent. Where you are body fat wise has a lot to do with this, how aggressive you are trying to come down, etc.

Someone who stores fat easily may have to do a few more (4-5) sessions weekly (low intensity, think walking incline) than someone who doesn't in order to keep it at bay. In that case, there would be some days that would potentially overlap with other training. For others looking to grow, they may find (as I have) that the fasted session in the AM makes them hungry as hell.

Another consideration is the size of the individual. If I am 248 with a whole lot of metabolically active tissue (muscle), 30 minutes of walking an incline is going to cost a lot more calorically than it will for a guy 175lbs (who probably shouldn't be doing it anyway). It also stresses the system more in a larger individual and can potentially interfere with recovery in a natural trainee. I personally would not do it on any day that I was squatting or doing any sort of heavy pulls.

For most on here looking to do a general cleanup, the diet changes topped off by a few weekly sessions on rest days will do the trick nicely.
