Just did a couple reps with some random weights before doing some conditioning. Any suggestions/general comments will be greatly appreciated.

315X2(was going to do 3 reps, but the damn hex plates kept shifting on me and I didn't have much memory in my camera left):

Overall I feel they look pretty good. Might have rounded a bit with the 315 reps. My 1RM is probably around 415 or so.

I have done a lot of reading and watching of videos, but first time for me to get any critiques from posting online.

Let me have it.

From that angle, it looks like the bar is over your toes when you set up.

Yeah I was told the same thing when I posted this in another forum. I think the camera angle might be making it look worse than it really is. I always (at least I thought) have the bar over mid-foot.

I'll make sure I focus on that for sure next go around with deads. I also finally got a pair of weightlifting shoes (1/2 inch heel), so my mechanics might change a bit when I use them the first time.

Anything else?

All I can see is the bar should be closer to the shin on the way up. Again, it may be the camera angle.

As you already know, those square(or whatever the fuck poly...gon they are) suck. That's all my gym has, so I brought some old round 45's in & so far they haven't made a fuss.

I see no problems that non-retarded plates wouldn't fix.
