Then right off the bat I would change your breakfast to something like 6 eggs scrambled w/cheese and veggies in place of the PB sandwich at that meal. Then add a new meal that is your PB sandwich and more milk in the late morning.

Ok.

how does one make scrambled eggs?

Is it better if i just took 6 egg whites and mixed them together with milk?

You crack 6 eggs (whole eggs) into a bowl, then add 6 quick pours of whole milk. Then take a fork and whip it up nicely. Add to a hot fry pan and use a spatula to keep mixing up the eggs while they cook. Add veggies and cheese while they cook.

Just googled scrambled eggs.

They look like the least appetizing things i could ever eat.

This is not a smart-ass question, even though it sounds like one...where are you from that you've never heard of scrambled eggs?

Also, regarding your diet, you're "eating" a lot of shakes with whey protein, and drinking a lot of milk, but you're kind of short on solid food, no? And real food, too. Sure, have your shakes and milk, but eat some food, too! If you don't like scrambled eggs, you can hard boil, poach, fry, sunnyside up, over-easy... I get a lot of snacking mileage out of mixed raw nuts and raisins. Beans, brown rice, veggies, quinoa, tofu, cheese, cottage cheese, yogurt. I wonder if you're kind of running on empty because you digest all the liquid food so quickly.

You might pose this question to Johnny Pain, however.

From India.

Um. I grew up in India, eating scrambled eggs. Pretty sure it wasn't an unusual idea. Granted, they were a bit different from the kind commonly eaten in the west -- they almost always had onions, green chillies etc., cooked on higher heat, without milk.

Or, you know, you could always go with an omelet or some fried eggs if those look more appetizing.

How many pounds have you gained in the last 5 months?

I sometimes have to eat very little meat due to budgetary considerations. I was able to make lots of progress by drinking a gallon of milk a day and eating plenty of eggs and cheese. I often went through a dozen a day.

I personally love eggs. There are so many delicious ways to make them and living in india with all the awesome spices and curries they have there, I'm sure you can find a way to make it work.

Best of luck.

Your diet is insufficient in protein and relies a lot on liquid food. You should look to tofu and tempeh to get more solid protein in your diet in addition to eggs. There are some people that manage to do the vegetarian thing and make some progress. They are few and far between. I used to be a veggie and I speak from experience on this one.

Sources of protein outside of the animal world are hard to come by and generally of lower quality. Unfortunately, humans and our precursors evolved over the last few million years eating meat. Sometimes a lot of meat. There's no getting around this. Most people will make better gains when animal flesh is part of the diet. I wish you luck.

I second what everyone has said here. You need to eat more real food (not liquids). Get to like eggs as they are an excellent source of protein, fat, and nutrients, and if they're the only animal product you can eat, then you need to be downing them by the half-dozen. They're a pretty cheap food. I'm not a fan of soy protein, but the bottom line is you need more food. This is why your squat is stalling at such a low weight.

Have you done the math to add up all the nutrition stats? There are websites that will do it for you. I think there are some that will even break out the protein information into the various types of amino acids.

Having the numbers in front of us might make things clearer whats going on.

Well if you're not doing the SS program what exactly are you doing?

And as far as meat goes, you're goint to be hard pressed to find a way to make a case for not eating our friends the animals here. Do what you want, but eating meat makes getting bigger and stronger easier (note: Easier. You can do it without meat; Eggs are your friend in such a situation).
