So I am finally going to start a log to keep track of my training. I started training again in March 2010. I am 39 years old and promised myself that I would be in the best shape of my life by the time I was 40. My nephew turned me on to SS last month and now I am hooked.

where I'm at:
Press = 150
Bench = 275
Squat = 365
Deadlift = 315 (I haven't deadlifted since I've started SS, starting weight was 225 went up to 315) Been nursing an elbow injury, but will start up this week)

These numbers were alot lower when is started training in March. I haven't lifted weights in 9 years, but used to lift weights in my 20's.

I'm 5' 9, weigh 200lbs. don't know my waist size but I wear 34's pretty loose.

I was lifting for 2 months and then started SS in May. Strength shot up in the past month, however I am really stiff.

Moving over to 5/3/1

Took my nephew to the gym yesterday and walked him through the 4 lifts. He's a freshman in college and plays soccer. Good kid. Anyway he wants to start lifting so I took what little knowledge about SS and showed him 4 lifts.

I never did power cleans, so obviously I won't show him. hopefully, he took what I learned and runs with it. Right now he wants big guns! So SS seemed boring to him. I promised him it would the best thing he can do.

We'll see. Any suggestions on how to keep him motivated or tips, bring em on!
thanks.

Played softball on Monday night, diving all over the place at 3rd. Went to bed feeling good, woke up feeling like someone hit me in the lower back with a sledgehammer.

Taking some days off. WTF?
