7-16-10 Friday

I'm one of those poor military souls that is stuck doing PT 5 days a week. So at the moment I am forced to go to just 2 training sessions a week. I'm also coming back from a lower back injury (bad squat). I'm looking to get back to my lifetime bests:

BP: 365 twice BW: 195
Seated Miltary Press: 280 twice BW: 238

Sleep and food intake has not been great. Fortunately this will only be for another week or so.

Bad day.

Squat 170 screwed up on 2nd set and was just gassed. Form started to fall apart. First set was good, second bad, didn't attempt third.

Press: heavy but managed 120 for sets across

Brow: only time to do one set 180x5.

After fighting the inevitable I decided to go back on SS. I decided that my strength wasn't really where I needed it to be.


Today

Squat 95

Bench 135

Pullups 10lbs

I really made an effort to start conservatively with my loading and focus on form.

Squat 170 (some of these turned out a little high but chest was kept up alot better)

Deadlift 335 might have to do a 10lb jump next time instead of 20..unless I can get a ton of food down.

Bench 205...I could go heavier if it wasn't for my damn joints.

My biceps feel like they are about to rip off from my elbow. I widened my grip on the squat..perhaps it's just going to take some time.

Biceps felt much better today. I put my grip out much wider this time. If this keeps up I may start the pulls/chins again this Friday.

In the gym for fasted AM cardio. I weighed 187-188..up from 182 a month ago.
