Last Saturday (dec.4)

I competed and won Grapplers Quest World Series of Grappling championship
(beginer Light heavyweight div.)

I just want to take the time ( and I shouldve done this earlyer) to thank all of you (From Coach Rip on down) for your advice and putting up with my endless onslaught of retarded questions.
You guys kept help'd me get strong enough, and stay strong enough, to crush all of my challengers, and I really appriciate it. Thank you my guys ! !

Wow Tony, color me impressed.

For those unfamilier, Grapplers Quest is a pretty big deal, drawing top talent.

Here is video of UFC vets Frank Mir and Roy Nelson rolling a few years back.

i'm gonna hijack this thread and say that roy nelson could be and would be better if he'd lift some weights. he could be a more talented tank abbott, who btw benches 600.

Roy is at an akward spot in terms of UFC weight classes. He doesnt have the size to hang with the new generation of heavies like JDS, Cain, Lesnar, yet I don't think there is any way he could cut down to 205. If there were a 225 class, I think Nelson could be the dominant fighter there.

But even as he stands now, he's such an athletic guy he can hang with guys sporting much more 'quality' weight. He's one of those freaky deaky talents, for whom I think lifting weights (are we sure he doesnt already?) wouldn't bring much marginal value.

he says he doesn't. and looking at his arms, they look small. i didnt mean he should cut weight. he should at least get stronger because as we all know and experienced, stronger is better.
