View Full Version : Back in the gym this morning after 6 weeks off

I tore the annulus to a disk in my lower back deadlifting and took 6 weeks off. Ate what I wanted, got an extra hour of sleep in the morning, and felt like crap.

I went back into the gym this morning and got back under the bar. It was tough though, both mentally and physically. I lost a lot of motivation even though I've had less energy in the last 6 weeks and generally felt terrible. Physically it was tough - not only was I afraid that i would re-injure my back squatting, but I had to de-load a bit too.

In any case, I'm glad I'm back. I feel better already. Need to think about whether I want to deadlift again though. That tear really hurt like hell.
