I saw that you mentioned that an 18 year old male (me) should be doing a cal surplus of 2000 per day. (I did SS for a month w/ roughly 500 cal surplus, had to stop for a month as I was on an adventure thing called outward bound without gym access)

I had never seen this mentioned, and I have read parts of the book (just ordered the 3rd edition 5 minutes ago), read all the starting strength wiki, and searched google just then.

So are there any other things specific to males around the age of 18 worth knowing that could help out?
