Hey Andy, would you mind taking a look at this plan I have constructed for my third powerlifting meet next month?

Current squat PR is 507, but I did a fairly easy 490x3 last friday and I'm trying for 551 at the meet.

This is for the squat.
Week 1 (next week)
M: 8x3x400
W: 3x3x300
F: 1x3x500 (in wraps)

Week 2
M: 5x3x405
W: 3x3x300
F: 3 ascending singles (I was thinking 1x510, 1x525, 1x540)

Week 3
M: 5x3x405
W: 3x3x300
F: 3 ascending singles (weight will be determined by how last week went, not pushing for big prs in this week)

Week 4
very light training leading up to the meet on saturday

Trying to be a little more conservative leading up to the meet, because before my first two I was too ambitious and ended up pushing too hard. How does this look?

I don't see anything glaringly wrong with it at all. Thinking that maybe your Monday triples could be heavier???? Not sure if triples at what looks to be like less than 80% are going to drive up a 550 Squat?? These are very individual considerations though and hard to tell you a good answer on the web. I wouldn't want you fucking up your meet prep based on something I told you from here....

Forgot to mention that monday's triples are raw, while I use tight wraps on friday.

Yes...okay. That makes a big difference. If you like this plan go for it. I don't see anything wrong with it.
