Going to switch to a standard TM format shortly, with DL on volume day. I'd like to add a little more hamstring work, so I was thinking of including SLDLs as an assistance exercise. What's the best day to put them on? Light day, to get as much recovery time before deadlifting again?

Do 1-2 back off sets right after deadlifting.

Thanks Andy. Any sldl videos you can share to help a newbie to that exercise with form? Also, do you think that routine, sldl following dl, would be OK for a 60 year-old on a 2-day a week program, following the SS model for the past year and TM for the past 6 months? I just hit a 305 5rm in the dl and would like to move up to to 400.

It is not necessary to stand on a platform. I do it because I am pretty flexible and like to put a deep stretch on the hamstrings. I would probably start with one set of 5-8 reps. Use perfect form.

Thanks -- sounds painful, but good. Sets of 8-10?

Anywhere between 5 and 10 is appropriate
