When I go heavy doing squats or deadlifts in a pair of Adidas Ironworks II my feet kill me the next few days. They feel fine to move the weight in but then the next day my feet are killing me. The shoes seem like they fit fine, but I do have wide and thick feet. The pain usually is on the very outer edge, but still feels like a plantar thing...
This doesn't happen when I squat in a pair of Chucks. With Chucks on I have no flexibility issue, I can pretty much go ATG, or as far below parallel as my legs will bend with no problem at all.
Should I just ditch the Oly shoes and continue with the Chucks or should I man up and endure the Oly shoes until my feet get used to them. Try a different pair possibly?
I have also been doing foot drills now every workout trying to eliminate any possible foot weakness, and it seems to have helped except when I use the Oly shoes.
On a side note, yet another prop, Monday your squat form got more A+ comments from yet another fellow PLer in the gym. This particular competing lifter said she was actually pointing out my execution of form to a couple younger up and comings.
