    I recall reading in SS that some ppl, due to flexibility or short/long forearms (not sure) will find it hard to rack the bar for cleans etc. I find it impossible to rack the bar correctly. Similarly I find some muscle or joint impingement or pain when I attempt the lying tricep extensions as shown in the video.

    Is much more likely I'm just doing them wrong or is it possible that something else is going on?

    I know this is an old thread, but I just saw the video recently, and I wanted to add one comment.

    There's an easy way to do these unspotted, but I didn't see it in the video or mentioned in the thread. I bench inside my rack, using the hooks on the back uprights (and having the use of the safeties). For LTEs, I put the hooks on the front uprights (facing outside the rack), move the bench out a little bit, and lay down in the opposite direction. Now I can take the bar off of the hooks easily, and when my set is done, it's easy to set the bar back on the hooks.
