Unless I'm mistaken, the issue everyone is having is that this vox guy is generally disliked, and therefor his words are tainted, so everyone is getting triggered. Not only that, but he condemns science in his quote - a touchy subject.

As a complete outsider, impartial to it all, it seems that as the quote remains the same no matter who reads it, vox and Rip are drawing different conclusions from it. Rip is using it as a reality check, and as someone who denounced his NSCA status and who's product stands in the face of widely accepted information from the current fitness industry, it's completely understandable the conclusions he draws from vox's quote, matched still with his own experience.

Despite vox's reputation, I strongly feel that his quote should be looked at objectively, and that we should garner what we can out of it to better educate ourselves in this matter.

Removing bias and looking at something objectively - can't think of anything more scientific than that. This board exists an as intellectual tool. Discussing the relevancy of a disliked source's text is simply an extension of that reality. Nothing more. There are no politics here.
