I'll make a meet day call about DL grip in 2 weeks. I think I'll open at 650-660, a weight I know I can hold. That way I ensure a solid total even if I miss my 2nd again at 700.

    --Good final heavy squat workout before the meet. Thinking something like 515-570-585 for attempts.

    An SPF meet in Paducah, KY on August 8. It's the only meet where the timing and location really work for the next 2-3 months, so I jumped on it.

    They gonna let you walk out your squats, or are you cool with the monolift? Wasn't there something else about the last SPF meet that you mentioned, like they wouldn't allow deadlift slippers anymore, or something stupid like that?

    Some meets they apparently walk out, some they don't. I'll adapt. I think the slippers thing was one of my training partners being stoned off his ass and not listening. This isn't where I really want to be competing, but my options are going to be extremely limited for a little while starting mid-August.
