Deadlift 700xmiss (1 inch from lockout and left hand gave out. Weight was a joke. Beyond frustrated at this milestone being so close and my grip just not being there. At least got some decent time under tension, and now I have 15 days to rest til the meet).

--Went over-under on DL today. I MIGHT have a shot at 700 at the meet with a very sharply knurled bar. I started warming up with hook but couldn't get it set. I don't know if it's the sharp, thin bar or the heat or what the fuck it is, but I knew by 535 that I wasn't hooking shit today, so I switched to over-under. I'll make a meet day call about DL grip in 2 weeks. I think I'll open at 650-660, a weight I know I can hold. That way I ensure a solid total even if I miss my 2nd again at 700.
