8/8 MEET
Squat 510-575-585 - all good, 12 lb PR
Bench 360-390-400 - all good, 2 lbs under PR, played conservatively due to cramps
Deadlift 650 - good, 700xmiss, miss due to grip. Had the motherfucker as high as it needed to go but couldn't hold it. Literally took me like a second and a half the first time I went at it. Prob could triple this with straps. oh well, nothing I can do about it.
Total 1635 @ 213 (didn't cut any weight) - approx. 50 lb total PR. Ok day. Will post vids soon. Not competing again for six months, then will hit 1700

You are a beast, Kyle. Sorry you didn't get your 700 pull yet, but your numbers and progress are very inspiring nonetheless.

Congrats, Kyle! Sounds like a great meet overall.
There's that other guy on here who just missed 700 too, so maybe he put a hex on you.

Thanks, John and Leah. Just finger strength (or lack thereof), plain and simple.
VIDS:
585 squat (yeah, I know, it looks easy, but I'm telling you I had no more than 5-10 lbs in the tank. I am explosive, and weights either go fast or don't go at all):
400 bench (too easy, but my second at 390 was a grind due to cramps, so I actually expected to miss this. Should have taken 410):
700 deadlift miss (This would have bumped my total from 1635 to 1685. I tried right under/left over on this, my second attempt. Same grip I've always used. My left hand just can't hold. Same old story. I took a third with left under/right over, and it was coming up well and my grip was holding, then a huge chunk tore off my right hand and the bar slipped. Going forward, I think going left under/right over might solve my problems. Yes, it feels awkward right now and I'm not quite as strong that way on the actual pull (although my right hand is much stronger, so makes sense to be over). Obviously, 700 is a very light weight for me, grip notwithstanding. Wouldn't be surprised if I could pull mid 7's strapped.):
