    Grand Job!

Get your mind accustomed to the bigger numbers - you can lift them.

Right? It's probably a couple of things.

    1. Addressing all the mobility issues is finally allowing me to hit better positions.
    2. I am noticeably stronger, possibly due to the higher volume work WRT to the slow lifts.
    3. All the reps from my weak positions (blocks at thighs, for example) are greasing the groove of the movement.
    4. Kind of intangible, but the gym is much more energetic here. Multiple coaches with unique styles, 20+ people lifting at any time instead of just one guy and three lifters, and lots of people competing very often.

That said, yesterday the gym was snared within a big road closure to facilitate a 5K (lame!) so I couldn't get in. Just as well, as my shoulders were completely destroyed anyway.

    Today:
    Front squat:
    20kg x many
    60x5
    90x5
    110x5
    120x5
    130x5 5RM PR?
I don't think my legs are getting all that much stronger from this relatively low stimulus, but the improved rack is allowing me to better demonstrate strength acquired from squats?

    Snatch deadlift:
    60x5
    100x5
    130x5
    140x5
    150x5 nbd

Went to the science march it's fine. I mean, let's not pretend like scientific data collection and interpretation are a cut and dried business or that scientists are all saints, but it's fucking ridiculous that in 2017, First World adults have to be told that one should not believe something unless it is supported by observable phenomena. What kind of stunted toddler bullshit is this? Anyway, not sure how much good this shit actually does though when the folks in charge feel that their votes are locked in, freeing them to practice evil openly.

    Yesterday I ate:
    1. 50g whey in water
    2. It was Lyudmila's birthday and she wanted to go to bluejacket, near the Navy Yard. I got 8oz kielbasa + a few tater tots + 10oz stout that got up to 15% abv hooray.

    "Uh what are these things?"
    "Tater tots?"
    "Yes what are tater tots?"
"Uh, like hash browns but squished into little cylinders."
"Huh. Let me try- HOLY CRAP" and then she ate most of them

    3. Ice cream cone because she wanted to experience the novelty of buying from an ice cream truck

    This keeps going:
    4. 3 slices carnivore pizza + half a slice chocolate cake because she wanted pizza and cake. +12oz Golden Monkey
    5. Somehow we then ended up at a karaoke bar where I got about 2oz Glenlivet 12.

    yikes what a mess

Today is still not yet in the books....

I'm gonna get tater tots today at my favorite burger joint. These are home made with jalepenos and cheese in them too

    Trying....

    Today:
    Crappy snatches:
    20kg x many
    40x3
    50x3
    60x2
    70x1
    75x1
    80x1

Was supposed to also do 85x1 and 90x1 but the elbow was starting to grumble so I got smart about it.

Yesterday Lyudmila said she wanted dinner but then passed out for six hours after getting back from the science march and I woke up to a bunch of "uh...u up? im hangry" texts whoops so in lieu of that I ate a steak I found in the fridge on top of the list.

    Today:
    1. 2 FiberOne bars (pre)
    2. 75g whey in water (intra)
    3. Half roasted chicken + a few French fries (post)
    4. 12oz Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA + 1 hard lemonade at Szymon's shindig
    5. PBJ sammich with pumpernickel

Hey Gilchrest, here's another one for you.

"I mustard ketchup with some work."
    "Huh?"
"Mustard ketchup...? Mustard catch...up...? Must....catch....up....? Do you get it or do you not get it?!"
    "......"
"Stop looking at me like that. Relish in my sense of humor."

    What is this??

    Today:
Had 30 minutes to lift because crappy gym hours.
    Clean:
    20kg x many
    40x3x2
    60x2
    80x2
    90x2
    100x2

    Food:
    1. 75g whey in water
    2. Cheese steak with 8oz lean meat + bit of cheddard on roll + fries
    3. They celebrated Lyudmila's birthday today at work so I had half a slice of the cake the director's baller secretary made (pre training)
    4. 50g whey in water (intra)

Oh my gosh. That setup with the cheap poorly made pun just to skewer you with an excellent one. She's kind of scaring me.
