I was indeed. I saw your mastery of kyphosis.

I have a theory that kyphosis helps bench pressing. The shoulder joint is closer to the front of the chest. Smaller range of motion. I could be wrong, though.

    Tonight's work:

    Competition Squat 440, 450, 460, 470, 480 x 1 RPE 8
    Competition Bench Press 345 x 5 x 5
    Press 197.5 x 5 x 5
    Chins 60 x 5 x 6

I have been bad with posting my log.

    Deadlifts 395 x 5
    Board Press 430 x 2 x 7
    Slingshot Bench Press 435 x 2 x 7

The bench press circus tricks all felt easy. This is encouraging. Board presses are strictly lockout, and the slingshot is bouncy bouncy Tiggery fun, but I feel good about my bench. I think I've got 460 in me. At least I know I can unrack 430+ 28 times.

    Thanks, Walter!

Yesterday: Robert thinks I should do a mock meet, so we are tapering for some fun this Thursday.

Squat: worked up to 490x1, RPE 8 I think.
    Bench: 405x2x5, RPE 8 paused
Deadlift: worked up to 455. No more pulling till Thursday.

The bench is on instagram if you care about such things. Warning: singlet. @karlssc

    An infrequent log update:

yesterday I did 5 singles at 405 on squat. I screwed up rep 4 and got loose. I felt it in my back, but I think I'm ok. I'm usually ok.
Today: I did my last bench press work, just getting used to heavy weight again. 415x2x2, 425x1, 435x1. All paused.

    starting strength coach development program
Mock meet--just to get some heavy practice, and to see where we are. I've lost about 45lbs, found abzzz (wasn't really looking, but whatever), and kept most of my strength. Conventional deadlift has gone up. Wooooo!

    Squat: 490, 510, 530 3 for 3. A little sloppy, but not too hard.
Bench: 440 opener--pretty cool, huh? 460 for fun on the second attempt--missed it by just a little. I skipped the third attempt.
    Deadlift: 535, 555, 565 did not go.

555 is an ALL TIME PR CONVENTIONAL DEADLIFT.

Thanks to Robert Santana for programming and creative nagging, and all the other coaches for encouragement and tips. If it weren't for RS, I'd probably be sumoing with Type II diabetes.
