Congratulations on the twins! We'll publish a GainzZz obituary on the main page when they're born.
Yep. I've started campaigning for a VW California (the modern campervan, The VW California | The Original VW California Owner's Group) but Mrs H is not keen.
Also not sure I'm capable of growing long hair / surfing. I can make a fire and cook stuff on the beach though.

Congrats, Deri!
I got one of these recently and can thoroughly recommend it:
SsangYong Turismo 7 Seater MPV, Low cost MPV
Thanks Eric!
She is strangely unconvinced by their coolness. Not sure she's fully aware of the alternatives. I suspect suggesting I want to take up a new, dangerous, and expensive hobby involving motorbikes would go very smoothly. Very very smoothly.
Thanks Will, this actually looks like a solid option. Didn't know it existed.
Hit the garage at 9pm tonight. Felt pretty flat so decided to have some fun after knocking out the light deadlifts the programme calls for.
Paused DL, no belt, Oly shoes, fahves - 60, 100, 130, 150, 150 - surprising amount of lower back pump after these. Paused just off the floor for a 2 count.
Slingshot bench - 140 x 5, 155 x 3, 165 x 2 @ 6.5, 175 x 1 @ 7, 182.5 x 1 @ 7, 187.5 x 1 @ 8.5 - rpes all over the place. 182.5 was the best rep, the top one slowed down more than I expected: Instagram
Still 15kg more than I've ever unracked on the bench so that was cool.
Then 165kg x 3 x 3 @ 6.5 - 8
Intensity squats and light bench on a Friday morning. Felt pretty good - TRAC told me to add a set.
Comp Squat - up to 250 x 1 @ 7, 257.5 x 1 @ 8 - e1RM 279-280kg. Form a bit off but basically moved pretty well.
Then 235kg x 5 @ 9 - e1RM 281kg. Not quite a PR (I've done 240x5 before) but getting up there. Form was a bit sloppy - second rep slightly deep, third rep high, bit unbalanced. Enough to build on though.
Did 200 x 5 as a back-off
Then close-grip TnG bench, no belt or wraps, 8s - 60, 90, 105, 115 x 8 x 5 @ 7-8.5 on a 4 minute clock.
Comp bench tonight. It is Monday after all.
Singles went 160 x 1 @ 6, 165 x 1 @ 7, 170 x 1 @ 8.5 - fucked up the top single a bit, got loose and lost my groove on the way down. e1RM 181-185kg.
Then knocked out 140kg x 5 x 8, tng on a 3.5 min clock. First seven sets were @ 6 to @ 7.5. Last set was @ 9.5. Big volume PR for me though, having a couple of days between sessions helped a lot.
Feel fairly confident in saying bench programming is working well at the moment, despite bodyweight trending down slowly.

Very tired going in last night, and everything felt crappy. Got the work done so checked the box and moved on.
Light squats, no belt - up to 180 x 5 x 2. Wore flat shoes as I was deadlifting after and couldn't be bothered to change. Felt odd but still easy.
Comp DL - worked up to a single at 210 @ 6, then 220 @ 7, then 230 @ 7.5. e1RM went up each time. Guess I was getting warmed up. Top single felt uncomfortable but moved faster than last time.
Then 212.5 x 5 @ 8.5 - easier than I was aiming for, and the bar kept bouncing away from me so had to shuffle my feet around.
All in all, progress whilst feeling knackered so can't complain. DL e1RMs seem to be more volatile and unpredictable than my other lifts.
3ct pause bench - up to 155 x 1 @ 8, then 140 x 3 x 3 @ 7-8. Carrying a lot of bench fatigue from Monday.
e1RM total is at 713kg (+23kg from actual total), bodyweight down to 130.2 from 133 a few weeks ago, Wilks is at 404. Everything moving in the right direction.
Very solid work here - progress!!
Thanks Chris. Turns out consistently putting the work in results in progress - crazy stuff!
This morning's session, with a mild hangover and not enough sleep:
CG TnG bench, no belt, no wrist wraps - up to 160 x 1 @ 7.5 (under shot), then 130 x 6 x 6 @ 6 - 8.5 on a 3 min clock
BB Rows - 125 x 5 x 5 - PR
