    BW: 182.0lbs

    Low Bar /w Heels:
    195x5@8.5
    190x5@8.5
    185x5@8
    185x5@8.5
I don't have many mental failures these days but this workout qualifies. Just bastardized all my cues, misloaded/forgot clips several times causing rerack, re-setup multiple times, and then got annoyed about all of it until my last set where I finally quieted my mind and went to work.

    Conventional /w Hook:
    195x1x3
    200x1
    205x1
FINALLY figured out the 29mm bar. Stoked. Used a butter knife to cut cross hatches in my thumb nail which might have helped but mostly it was repositioning my middle finger.

Skipped direct back work due to time constraints but will add it tomorrow

    BW: 180.4lbs

    Comp Bench:
Up to 142.5x1@9, not my best work
    125x4@spotter
    125x4@7.5-8
    127.5x4@8-8.5
    127.5x4@8.5-9
    122.5@7-7.5
Best I've done on fours but not super happy with technique.

    TnG CGBP:
    115x6@7.5-8
    117.5x6@8-8.5, pec said hello
    115x6@7.5-8, tucked way more
    Progress here too

    TnG OHP /w Belt:
    60x8@7.5
    62.5x8@8
    65x8@9-9.5, ego
    Progress here too

    Lat Pulldown:
    180x12x2, good
    180x12, too hard
    170x12, too hard

    Seated Cable Row:
160x12x4, slightly too easy except last set

30-45min of technical practice on bench mostly focusing grip positioning. Trying to master the Japanese grip and I think I've finally got it. RoM is down to 6-8 inches.

    BW: 178.0lbs, diet low

    Comp Squat:
    Up to 165x1
    140x6
    142.5x6x2
Trained without caffeine and ibuprofen for the first time in forever today. Planning to stay off completely for good. However, the ibuprofen normally masks some pain in my left leg injury I guess. I could feel it today and had to stay super light to stay below all pain.

    Dumbbell Row: in lbs
    100s x 12, too easy
    110s x 12, about right
120s x 12, just wanted to try, too hard for grip

    Face Pull: in lbs
    50x15
    60x15, too easy
70x15, maybe slightly too easy still

    Moving on.

    .
Maybe the ibuprofen is reducing some inflammation and it is the inflamed part that causes pain? In which case, you are not masking the pain with ibuprofen, you are actually reducing the injury sufficiently to not be painful. Im only commenting because I'm in the same situation. Is it better to take the dose and gains? Or is it better to solve the underlying problem long term?

I'd rather have it heal and actually be able to train at 100% which I haven't been able to do in nearly two months now.

Off of the caffeine for good, or off of the ibuprofen?

    Both. No drugs.

    BW: 177.6lbs, diet low

    Comp Bench:
    115x7@7
    115x7@6.5-7
    117.5x7@8, whoops
My bench is so ridiculously technical at this point that I feel like anything other pure focus ruins the set. Absolutely zero psyche.

    Paused CGBP:
    97.5x8@5
    100x8@5.5-6
    102.5x8@6.5-7
    Great progress

    TnG OHP /w Belt:
    62.5x7@7
    62.5x7@7.5, grip way too wide
    60x7@6
    Annoyed about this

I liked the caffeine video. Thanks for the content. I've got too much caffeine in me now but its okay I'm deloading and caffeine fasting until the meet....but I think I should lay off it whenever I get back to higher volume work.

That's a bold move. I thought you were going to run a few test months before you swore off caffeine forever. Change your mind?
