    Was feeling a little sluggish during the warm-up so instead of trying for 395 I opted to go for a new 5RM. My gamble paid off, although the last rep was a little squirrelly.

    The original plan for today was to go for 380 x 2, but right from the start everything felt heavy and slow. By the time I got to 355, which was my last warm-up before taking 380, I decided to forego the heaviest set. The odd thing is I can hit volume PR’s. It’s possible the volume of pressing across the week is causing too much fatigue for me to display a strength increase. However, I would also expect this to affect a volume PR on this day. Another possibility is that neurologically I’m capable of performing reps very close to my max.
    Intraset rest is about 10 minutes. Daily calories average 3,500. Daily protein averages 205 grams. Sleep averages 7.5 hours a night. So, calories, protein, and sleep can improve slightly. I should be closer to 3,700 calories with about 220 grams of protein and 9 hours of sleep.
