I've been in an iso-caloric state since the meet. I dieted hard leading into the SSFC so in order to give my metabolism a change to rebound I've stepped back. Still macro controlled, but am eating more calories. I will get back into a caloric deficit in about two weeks.
But with that said my energy and mood have been low. Maybe time to up my vitamin D.

Okay, it's time to stop screwing around. I've signed up for a local charity meet, Deadlifts for Doernbecher (a local children's hospital). It is a single lift meet and I will do a deadlift focus program, but, will also preform the other 3 major lifts during my training cycle. I tried the "doing what I felt like" in the gym, it back fired. So, now I'm going to kick my ass. One month out which will allow for a three week mini cycle and a small deload.

    As far as goals:
Get out of my training funk
    Pull at least 500 again
    Secondary weight goal: Pull 530
    Enjoy training again

Well, I know why I've been so tired. Came down with the flu yesterday. There will be no training happening this weekend. Hopefully I can get back to it Monday.

What I thought was the flu was actually strep. On antibiotics and fell so much better! Haven't touched a barbell since last Wednesday's crappy workout. Night and day difference from tonight. I feel like I've been super whiny on this log, not my usual personality. I normally love training, going to the gym and hitting big number. So, I apologize for being a Debby Downer!

    Wednesday Nov. 25th
    Box Jumps 8x3
    Superset with squat warm-ups
    Squat 375x6x2-intesity
These felt awesome! Each set was a little faster then the last. Perfect form throughout. I will go up in weight next week.
    Deadlifts 315x5x5- volume
Holy crap that's a lot of deadlifting. Grip felt challenged by the end but the weight was still moving quickly and form was good. I'm going to feel these tomorrow for sure!
Glute-ham raise 30reps spread throughout workout.

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

No apology needed. You get to feel what you feel. We all get it. Glad you've got it sorted and are recovering.

    starting strength coach development program
I've still been training just been uber busy with life lately.
Went to a seminar, DMS: Duffin Movement Series, last weekend. I train out of Chris's Gym, Elite Performance Center, now Kabuki Strength Lab. The seminar will allow me to test to get my DMS certification. A lot of the information was review for me but I did learn a some new corrective exercises and coaching cues. Always a fun weekend learning and hanging out with fellow strength athletes!
Anyways, on to my training. It's been awhile since I've updated so I'm just going to start back with yesterday's workout.
    Wednesday, Nov. 10th
Box jumps 8x3 for warm ups
    Squats 375x5x2
Felt pretty easy. Will go up next week
    Deadlifts 315x5x5
5x5 deadlifts still suck, big time!
    Ab wheel roll outs 3xAMRAP

    Thursday Nov. 10th
Prowler plate+quarter every min on the min for 15 mins
