I'm not going to change anything before the meet since it's so close and growing a bigger back is a long term strategy. The glute pain has lessened, so I think I should be able to get back into those supplemental exercises. A restoration block after the meet would be helpful, as I haven't done that in the year that I've been with RTS.

10/10 specificity. It's a really, really slow way to accumulate volume, though...

Not sure what happened here. I expected to deadlift well today since it's a deload week and I've had 72 hrs of rest since my squats. Only thing I can think of is that I was trying to use the narrower stance and grip from last week's paused DLs and maybe that was throwing me off...causing me to think a bit too much instead of just pulling hard. I also had my hips too high on rep 2, so basically stiff-legged it. I don't know. My deadlift is frustrating most of the time.

Decent. Kinda pissed about deads, which helped. On the first set at 285 I felt a twinge in my pec, but it didn't hurt afterwards and doesn't hurt now.

Haven't done these in a while. Surprisingly hard.

More benching tomorrow. Maybe some GPP. Then I'm gonna hang out with Mahendra in Canadia.

I think he's going to teach me about donuts and ice cream.

Thanks. Yeah, bench is moving well and so is the squat. Maybe I can make up for my deadlift with a big bench.

My triceps hurt on the down sets, which made them quite unpleasant. Rest around 3 mins.

If I grip too close I get some pec discomfort. Two finger widths outside the smooth-knurl transition is better.

Trained at Forge in Mississauga. Equipment is good, but a bunch of basketball players were there using the Rogue OPBs for walking lunges when I arrived (seriously). I used what might've been a TPB. With the wide collars and wide flange plates, things got pretty whippy on the top single. I got a bit off balance towards the right and it was harder than it should've been. This also pissed off my quad tendon which has been pissed on and off for a while...but anyway, enough excuses and complaining. First squat PR in a year. 600 is possible but not guaranteed at the meet. We'll see what happens.

Pretty happy with this. No hype and rest was minimal. Pec tendon a little sore.

    Good job on the PRs!
Looks like the bar hwhip was messing with you a bit, good work fighting with that. Was it not a power bar, or were the plates really wide? How did the warmups and down sets feel wrt the hwhippiness?
