In any case, if there was a Republican base, any one of those idiots should have won easily. But there is no Republican base of power and money. It seems like there should be. But there isn't. This is mythology.

The D's have bifurcated. A socialist came very close to beating Hillary. They need to deal with that.

In the end, Trump won by almost 25%, but not because of any base or support. It was a wake up call that still has not been acknowledged. And, until it has been acknowledged, it will stand.

If the old guard (R or D) wants things to go back to the way things were, they need to start ignoring the drunk uncle with the lamp shade on his head, and lay claim to actually accomplishing something.
That's my point, in only two years of Obama the Republican voters had forgotten the mess their Republican officials created and went right back home. Obama was a fine president and history may prove me wrong but he is looking far and away better than W and 45 so far. If you look at the state of the nation when he left versus when he started, what is your beef? The tax on the rich to help poor people with healthcare?

You have to stop pretending that the EC reflects people, 45 didn't win the people by any 25%. I know its inconvenient but people in the cities are still people, they pay taxes and love their country. Trump fairly and barely won the election by the rules but a lot more actual people voted for someone else, Clinton plus third parties, plus all the people who were unmoved to vote. He is not popular for a president and it would serve him better to act like it sometimes. He won because Republican voted Republican and a lot of Democrats stayed home because Hillary didn't inspire them to vote like Obama had done.

He won by almost 25% is a true statement. That is not barely, that is a significant margin. Compared to the forecasts, it is a landslide.

The popular vote is entirely irrelevant in determining the outcome of an election. In no way does it count. Continuing to point out the popular vote as some kind of booby prize for the "but we really won too" crowd, is like giving all the kids trophies at T-ball. Cleanest uniform. Hottest mom. Drunkest Dad. Talk about special snowflakes.....

We really won! Fake news! Russians! Puttin! Popular vote! Cities! Nazis! Fake elections! Disenfranchised !!!!!!

Some significant tells right there. Nope, you're no democrat. Who me, a democrat? With that recitation of two major talking points, you have completely outed yourself.

How to interrogate. Get them talking. Keep them talking. Wait for the inconsistencies and/or tells. Then follow up.

I like the spin that Obama was so effective that Republicans came out in record numbers to replace D's with R's. Something like over 1000 D seats lost due to Obamas greatness!

You can't have it both ways. If the popular vote is irrelevant Because Rules, then don't whine if Trump gets duly impeached despite "the will of the people". Because Rules.

The contrapositive...if Trump is NOT impeached, will you stop whining? Because we have a legal system....Rules.

I'm pretty sure to get anywhere near the presidency and its inner circle being a lying hypocrite is a prerequisite.

I'm not the one taking the position that The System is all.
