Need to get more consistent with my training. Currently training for the fall classic. Only have been able to train once or twice a week the last few weeks, and have been nursing some knee and elbow tendonitis. I'm planning to do a reset and then run out a basically an advanced novice style linear progression for as long as I can. After which I'll switch to either Texas Method or HLM. Also planning to get my nutrition back in order, and will be following Jordan's recommendations for a recomp in his to be a beast article.

Current stats: 6'1, 260. Not fat, but a little more pudge around the middle than is necessary.

Bench and Squat both suck, DL and press are decent. PC isn't terrible for someone with bad knees and a gimpy elbow.

    SQ 5RM: 365
    DL 5RM: 465, 1RM 570 (TX DL bar)
    PR 5RM: 202.5, 1RM 240
    Bench 5RM: 245
    PC 1RM 265

    Fall classic goals: total 1300+

    Year end goals:
    DL 600
    SQ 500
    PR 250
    Bench 305
    PC 295

everything is listed as sets x reps

    SQ 315 3x5

    Conditioning
    C2 Rower sprints, 125m x4

Did not time the rest in between, waited long enough to catch my breath.

    9/1/15

    SQ 325 for 3 sets of 5

these were harder than they should be at this weight. that's what I get for missing two and a half weeks I guess.

    Press:
    45 x 5
    95x5
    135x5
    155x5

My shoulder hasn't felt right since benching at the SS seminar in early august. Kept these light to see how I'd feel afterwards. No pain during, and 24hrs later all is good. Whatever the issue is, it's not bothered by pressing. planning to push forward with press 3x a week for now, and will start adding bench back in later.

    PC:
    95x3
    135x3
    165x3
    185x3
    205x3
    215x2

I've hardly done any power cleans all summer due to my elbow tendonitis. These felt fine up until the 2nd rep @ 215. Must have bent my elbows a bit, pretty intense pain shooting through the elbow on that rep, so I shut it down. Need to start taking video of the PC to analyze technique.

    C2 Row 125 x 6, untimed rest
    19.5
    19.1
    18.9
    18.7
    18.5
    18.6

I was cooked at this point. First three reps felt fine. 4th was really heavy. Had to switch from hook grip to mixed grip to get 5th rep.

    thank you!

My daughters kept me company. The six year old loaded up a wooden dowel with fractional plates and started doing split jerks - and with pretty good form. Good entertainment between sets!
