    Getting over a cold and just felt off. Wanted one top set of 305x3 but it was not to be. Lower back was still sore from last Saturday's lapse of form. Have a new upper back pain this morning too. As it showed up this morning I assume it's something I did yesterday (probably from chins). Painful but tolerable everytime I unracked the bar. Going to bed early so that I will be in top form for tomorrow's session.

    ** I know that Rip thinks the only use of the leg press machine is for taking naps (saw him do just that at the seminar in Los Angeles last August) but after reading the thread below I decided to try it out to get a little quad hypertrophy. (Front squats just kill my knees.)

    Sets of 8 on deadlifts were tough. I could hardly catch my breath for the last couple of reps of each set.

    Increased my Calories from ~2880 to 3010/day a few days ago; all carbs. I feel like I am retaining water (my carbs were <200g/day before) and my weight took an immediate 3.5lb jump on Thursday (I only report an exponential average in my log) when I weighed myself. Hopefully this will all translate into some gainzz going forward.
