My right side inguinal hernia, repaired 25 years ago, without mesh, seems to have recurred. I suspect it has been there for a bit but I was in denial. Got a doctor's appointment Thursday. Hopefully I can find a good surgeon who can operate promptly and who appreciates that I would like to return to activity ASAP.
BTW, I found this in a journal article. Seems to be encouraging:

Monday's deadlift session had to be postponed until today. Fortunately I was off work today and threw it in between my Dr. appt. this am and the veterinarian appointment (2nd opinion, no not really, it's for the cat; actually sometimes veterinarians make more sense than MDs) this afternoon. Plan to do deads again next Monday so I didn't do any SGDLs today.
