Are you having trouble holding on to the bench for the lying leg curls with just one arm? Or are you using some kind of sophisticated machine? Come to think of it, a lot of this must be a little difficult to stay in place if you can't use both arms.

I always found that leg curls were like trying to wiggle my ears as I had so little strength and control of the muscles involved. Though I kind of miss them in some sick way.

I hold on with my right hand while my buddy pushes my back down on heavish sets. I find leg ext. to be harder with only one arm, but I manage ok. its funny how I now look at machines total different as now I have no choice but to use them. By necessity, I've become creative in finding ways to change things up.
Tomorrow I will attempt back squats using a safety bar with one hand. Will not attempt much weight. My goal is to just find my squat groove.

You probably mentioned it elsewhere but would you mind saying what caused the need for your surgery (not how it happened but was it a torn rotator, etc) and how long the recovery period is?
