Solid work dude. Congrats on those meet PRs.
Solid work, good job especially considering illness right before meet!
Alright, golden boy! And crook too. So how much did you PR your total by?
Thanks guys. I didn't mean for it to come accross as an excuse - I should have done better irrespective.
the 552.5kg total is a 35kg increase to my last competition total. Not bad in 12 weeks, but I should have had that last deadlift......
I've mapped out the rest of my year in training (like a pro, but weaker) and if I take 2 weeks off now I can get a 12 week cycle in before my holiday in September, then another 12 weeks before Christmas. Next 2 weeks are going to be lots of GPP stuff, including compound lifts done as GPP. As per jordan's style I'll probably pick a weight I can hit for 10-12 reps and do AMRAP in 8 minutes, as well as doing a mix of HIIT and LISS cardio.
I just caught up to all these shenanigans. Congrats on the PR storm! Looking forward to the GPP cycle. Are you looking to recomp, or just improve your work capacity a bit so as to facilitate harder/quicker training sessions?
50% looking to take a break from stuffing myself and hopefully drop some recent fat gain (I've dropped from 250g carbs a day to under 100)
50% trying to improve work capacity knowing how many reps I am about to re-attempt
50% wanting a mental and physical break from structured training with high intensity
Gpp day
food: 1750 cals yesterday
fatigue: everything hurts slightly
other: all weights in pounds from now on, though I wish I was just magically 2.2x stronger
LISS
20 minutes treadmill @ 5.5km/h
I should have chosen something else, I hate treadmill. the pad kept slipping too and I almost fell. There was one song though where I was perfectly synched with the beat.
Lat Pull Down (6min AMRAP)
100 x 8 x 10
maybe slightly too light, got lots of sets in
plank (6min AMRAP)

EZ Bar Curls (6 min AMRAP)
60 x 6, 8, 8, 8, 6, 6, 8
couldn't settle on a rep scheme
LTE (6min AMRAP)
60 x 6 x 7
