Cam Leslie:
I'll have a deload week coming up followed by a week of maxes.
With that said I don't know if I would take my progress as the norm especially on deadlifts as I feel I just didn't execute the deadlift programming all that well I should have just stuck with deadlifts on medium day
But on the bright side my squats have been going pretty dang well.
Today's lifting:
Squat- 300X2,2,2
Bench- 245X2,2,2
Deadlift- 355X1,1
Chins
LTE's
Was supposed to do a double on my deads but I didn't think it was happening so just did two singles.
Deload week:
Squat- 300X3,3,3
Bench- 242.5X3,3,3
Some chins
Squat- 265X3,3,3
Bench- 215X3,3,3
Some curls

Max week
Bench-290Xfail
Squat- 365X1
Bench went terribly as expected. Gonna really have to go a different route here.
Squat was like RPE 9.5 I think I may have had 375 but I wanted to end it on a good note.
Deadlift- 365X1, 380X1(small PR)
Press(freakin press!)- 95X5,5,5
Chins
Curls
Small deadlift PR made me happy all things considered. Felt good to press, didn't hurt but the weight was light.
Programming:
Deciding between another round of GGW or just going to the baker barbell club. I'm leaning towards a slightly modified GGW. Either way I have to figure out what I'm going to do with the bench press. I need something that's 3 days a week probably at least some exposure to heavy weights every week. I may have to wing it which I don't like.
Well I dont really have a huge problem with the set up you've layed out (I'd have to switch heavy and medium bench so I could bench heavy with my spotter) but I was more thinking sets and reps.
I'm definitely gonna give close grips a shot on light day though, I'm getting nothing out of inclines. How are you doing floor presses? Just taking them out of a power rack? I need to do some YouTubein.
If you've got any other ideas I'm all ears but I think I've gotta add some more work somewhere. I never regressed, I just didn't get any stronger either.
I just move the hooks down in the power rack and lay on the floor. Make sure to pause with tri's on the ground. Bro tip.
I mean I'm just some guy on the internet so thats my disclaimer. But here is what I've done the last couple of training cycles, I do my 5x5 Bench or whatever, then I hit the close grips or floor press for similar reps and sets but I do them by feel not from a predetermined spreadsheet number. Like RPE 8ish. If I'm feeling good I hammer them, if not I just do em. Here are two examples from earlier this year.
All about that progressive overload. Just titrate up the volume a little bit. Another idea is to go to the programming forum and ask andy directly.
