    Session Rating: Dubstep is the other heavy metal

    Still battling my addiction to FPS soundtrack eSports highlight reel noizes. Datsik, Excision, Kill the Noise, Dirtyphonics, Knife Party etc are all up in me. Some of the, and I hesitate to use the term, "drops", are ridiculously good for generating a nice mindzone for hitting singles. With the right sound I'm a giant stompy robot destroying gigantic aliens and whole city blocks (naturally evil aliens, and city blocks hastily emptied of civilians) with a dazzling array of laser and kinetic weaponry as a prelude to dropping tabs and having crazy good disco ball with other giant stompy robots, then hitting sick bench PRs. Kind of Pacific Rim: Sexy 4-day TM Edition. Anyhow, now that everyone has some disturbing imagery to forget, commence the actual logging.

    New bench 1RM PR (+2.5kg). Did it four times to make sure. Only got the last three on video, because apparently it helps if you press the red circle. That took a fair bit out of me, so my delusionally aspirational press attempt at 100 was a moderately long grind to youdontfuckinggotitsville. Got some stuff done on 95 though as a back up plan. Shoulder started out pretty iffy but finished strong which was nice. Then it was time for winding down with a sandwich & a tallie of Cooper's best extra stout. Some solid lying on the couch in front of movies is planned for later on. Older, Fatter, Stronger progress: achieved.

    Bench: 20x10, 60x8, 80x5, 100x3, 120x1, 130x1, 142.5x1x4
    Press: 20x8, 40x5, 60x3, 80x1, 90x1, 100xF, 95x2x3

    Thanks guys! I also don't know why anyone would avoid such a pleasant town. To avoid confusion I will refer to the less salubrious locale as Failtopia.

    So, dream run has not ended. New squat single PR (+5kg). Felt tough but I wasn't doubting at any point after I had that weight on my back. Plenty of doubts before that juncture. Apologies for the excessive old white guy robot content, but sometimes robots need to happen. Skipped deadlifts because my lower back was already happy enough from putting out furniture and stuff for kerbside collection yesterday, and I was really hungry. I might do deadlifts in a makeup session tomorrow if I'm not particularly sore.

    Squat: 20x10, 70x8, 100x5, 120x5, 150x3, 180x1, 200x1, 220x1, 240x1 (PR+5), 220x[1,1]
