    Not sorry.

    Press 160 x 1, 170 x No Go, 165 x 1, 135 x 5
    Squat 325 x 1, 350 x 1, 325 x 1, 375 x 3
    Deadlift 365 x 1, 390 x 1
    DB Curls 50 x 8, 8, 6
That's the kind of PR you should put up on the gym board! Or maybe just put up a board in the bedroom. Looks like I'm buying a chalk board this weekend...

My wife won't let me put a whiteboard on the bedroom door.

    Something about creeping out company.

    Monday 4/24 - 80 minutes

    Squat 225 x 5 x 3
    Deadlift 315 X 5
    DB Row 40 x 8, 50 x 8, 60 x 8 x 2, 60 x 10

About as low energy as Jeb Bush toady. The wife and kids have been sick all weekend and I have been on the edge of getting it.

Wednesday 4/26 Intensity Press 65 Minutes

    Press 150 x 3 x 3
    Seated DB Press 60 x 8 x 4, 60 x10
    Pushdown 50 x 15 x 5

I've been sleeping like crap all week due to fighting whatever my kids brought home from school (cough and congestion).

It is putting up a great counterattack.

Hold the line!! Good on you for training anyway. I love my son, but I sure miss not getting sick every damn time a new kid starts daycare...

I probably would have died if squats were involved. Tomorrow is squats and deadlift. I already feel quite a bit better from yesterday, but I need to sleep through the night tonight.

My wife is a teacher and the kids are 5 and 8, so it is a miracle that one of them has not brought home cancer or aids or something.

Friday 4/28 95 Minutes and almost as many degrees F

    Intensity Squat & Deadlift
    Squat 315 x 3 x 3
    Deadlift 350 x 3, 315 x 5
    Dumbbell Row 60 x 8 x 5

Thought that might head would just become a snot explosion at some point, but it never happened and I actually feel significantly better now that before training.

    Monday 5/1 75 minutes

    Press Volume
    Press 145 x 4 x 5
    Dip BW 3 X 3 + 4 x 2
    Push Up BW x 10
    Pushdown 60 x 10 x 3

Felt decent yesterday and Saturday. Definitely still sick, but chumming with snot all morning at the beach on Saturday seemed to help. Started a cycle of steroids yesterday: Over-the-Counter Allergy Medicine | FLONASEŽ Allergy Relief. I now expect to double all my lifts by June.

    Had a horrible morning:

Woke at 3:00 AM because the Mucinex worte off.
Woke at 3:30 because my daughter decided that would be a good time to start crying about wanting to watch cartoons.
Woke at 4:00 because my son pissed his pants.
Woke at 5:00 because my daughter wanted to revisit the "how early is too early for cartoons?" debate.

Of course she fell asleep 15 minutes later and at that point I just told the wife that considering that I was now up in every possible way we might as well naked wrassle a bit. That might have given me 15 minute more sleep afterwards.

    Wednesday 5/3 95 Minutes

    Volume Squat

    Squat 295 x 4 x 5
    SLDL 225 x 6 x 2
    Chin BW x 5,5,4
    Curl 25's x 8

Still sick enough to make these squats suck today. I also somehow forgot to start training at 10AM vs 12PM, which wouldn't make much difference except that my first real meal is post training except for some BCAAs, creatine, and a scoop of Gatorade.

    Oh, well. Made it through.

    starting strength coach development program
    Friday 5/5 75 Minutes

    Recovery

    Press 120 x 5 x 3
    Squat 240 x 5 x 3
    Inverted Row BW x 8 x 3

Still a bit sick. Felt like I could have slept a few more hours this morning in spite of around 8 hours of sleep. My right elbow/ brachialis has been bothering me a bit on the descent of presses for about the last three sessions. Today was the worst yet. I realized it is probably me trying to bring my squat grip in too much.

Well that's a bunch of grumpy whining shit.

Probably just pop some ibuprofen this weekend and hope for the best.

    Now get off my lawn!
