    Default New program, who dis?

I guess I'm an intermediate now. Here is my old training log.

    Basic Info

    Age: 35
    Height: 6'1"
    Weight: 240lbs
    Waist: 39"
    Neck: 18"
    Arms: 17.5"
    Thighs: 29"

    Best lifts

    Squat: 370
    Bench: 300
    Deadlift: 465
    Press: 190

    I write weight x reps x sets.

    April 11

    Comp Squat: 295x3x4, 295x5 @8 AMRAP
    Comp Bench: 240x3x4, 240x6 @9 AMRAP

    Tricep, back, biceps, ab accessories.

Squats felt wonky. Poor recovery the past few days caused 295 to feel like 315. In an effort to fight the thoracic flexion that has plagued me for some time, I was raising my chest on some reps. Also, I'm back to my bad habit of going too deep, causing some hip pain, but when I try to cut reps I'm about an inch high.

Final rep on bench misgrooved, so it felt like a 9. Probably would've had 2-3 more in the tank if I didn't fuck that up.

I am not. Which program is it? I'd like to take a look.

Looks similar to what you are already doing. You can find it by Google searching barbell medicine intermediate program.

Ah yeah, sort of. I took a look and it shares some similar traits, but organized pretty differently. We'll see how this goes!

Deadlift disaster. I think I started lifting too soon after eating, and deadlifting was a gassy nightmare. I was burping on the way up, at the top, at the bottom--it caused my reps and timing to be inconsistent and it ruined my AMRAP set.

Bench went fine and I got way more on my AMRAP than I thought I would.

    April 13

Deadlift: 365x3x2, 365x4 AMRAP @7.5 cut short because of burping/stomach discomfort
    TnG Bench: 245x4x3, 245x7 AMRAP @9

    Thanks, dood.

    April 15

    Comp Squat: 255x6x6
Comp Bench: 205x9x3, 205x8 (missed last rep)

Lats, biceps, chest accessories. Missed abs due to time/work constraint.

Tried squatting in flats today. Overall felt great, but couldn't hit depth without heel coming ever so slightly off the ground. If I kept my heel on the ground, I had to relax a little to hit depth, causing mucho hip pain. Probably won't squat in flats again.
