The new Spiderman was fantastic. It completely reboots the series and sets up the transition from the current set of characters to a whole new group.

I want to see that, but frankly I am getting tired of them changing actors every few films.

You just have to see this--it works; while also completely erasing the first five movies, it sets a new standard for Marvel movies. I was as surprised how good it was and it reminded me of the first Guardians.

Spiderman has become a kind of Hollywood practice piece, like Still-life With Fruit. I'm waiting for the cubic version to come out.

Homecoming brought the Peter Parker character back to its roots. (ie Happy nerd-boy, not emo or skatekid) The villain was done very well and it contains many connections to the larger Marvel cinematic universe. The modern social justice bullshit was down tastefully (outside of Flash... I don't get the new Flash)

If you'd like to see early 70's->early 90's spiderman in action... this is where its at.

Yeah, I thought they social justice stuff was actually pretty the way most high schoolers see the world. It wasn't preachy, just silly things said by kids who don't know better. I didn't get Flash either, though, I thought he was supposed to be a dumb jock, not a pudgy nerd wearing polo shirts (when did those come back?).
