    Hi Rip

    I got a 600lb deadlift today.

I'm thrilled. It went up nicely too.

Getting stronger has been the best use of my time over the last 4 years and 8 months. I also finally managed a 300lb bench (308lb) which has eluded me for a number of reasons.

Thank you for all that you do. Life changing stuff.

    Dave

Certainly he is. You are merely unexposed.

Apparently he told an unfunny joke that got bloggers on the Internet-excuse me, journalists-really upset.

By your will, here's the deadlift in question: David Longley on Twitter: "How's the fringe show? It's a 600lb deadlift. FUCK THE FRINGE. @SS_strength https://t.co/NmzsHJPeCn" Bad angle, but the lumbar flexion at the start of the lift is noticeable. Not a bad pull otherwise.

    Yes. I am EXTREMELY famous.

The lumbar extension is also, indeed, noticeable. It was rather heavy.

Getting stronger has been the absolute best thing that I have done over the last four and a half years. Being in touch with Rip (sporadically, he's a busy man) and Jordan has helped me immeasurably. I am indebted to every single person on the board, for asking questions, providing answers and being entertaining.

The biggest thrill has been in helping others. I think I've helped shift a dozen or so copies of Starting Strength, and I've "coached" 6 people through a linear progression.

    Thanks, Rip.
