I've got a chuck roast in the freezer that was looking for purpose.

Also- there's a polymer coating that's sprayed on the inside of aluminum cans to keep the metal from reacting w/ the contents. That's probably what Brent was smelling as he torched the outside.

I thought I was weird for making chilli con carne without beans, because chilli in the UK always has beans in it. I didn't like it as a child because of all the kidney beans, which may as well be lumps of wax based on their taste and texture. Guess I've been doing it right after all (except for the tomatoes).

Really, there are no tomatoes in Texas Chili. Anything with tomatoes is spaghetti sauce. Really.

An opportunity to note that there are much better uses of a good sauce than on spaghetti. Further, a good meat sauce stands alone.

Looks like a pot roast with chili paste to me.

There is a substantial difference between chili the vegetable, and chili the dish. This seems to be the former.

Nice cooking knife, these vids are cracking me up.

But for a little variation here and there, fundamentally, it's a curry?

Yes, I suppose it is a curry. Good call.

Going through the trouble of making a video and then using a blow torch and a monster can. That's just odd.
