Question continuously, object when you do not understand Something. But always
with humility, with caution, with the spirit predisposed to admit that reason
may not be on your side. Reject all dogmatism and bias.
Strive to listen attentively to the arguments of your interlocutors, analyze
them, clear them up: try to sound out the motives of why they express themselves
in this way. Never make fun of ideas developed. Strive to invite others to
develop their point of view them and even encourage them to formulate their
rigorous criticisms against you.
It is an important condition that no laughing or mocking or caustic irony be
inflicted against ideas expressed nobly even if they appear to be aberrant, that
the vocal expression being not very rich in vocables, the constructions of a few
sentences are incorrect, puerile or cacophonic or that its content suffers from
lack of depth or is stuffed with sophistic reasoning or lack of intellectual
maturity.
Aggressive reactions by the most intelligent cause inhibitions in the less able
or less grown. These aggressions form inferiority complexes and cause brain
damage. As a result, these people prefer to be silent and do not express their
opinions for fear of not being understood and provoking aggressive reactions…

There are quite a few words that are better serve by being thought of as verbs. Both science and love are two of them.
Using science as a noun is fine, but too often we are talking about three different things: science the process, science the data points collected through the process, and science the collection of conclusions come to by trying to make sense of the data.
My own faith in science decreases as we go from the process to the conclusions. This is completely justified by all three "meanings" of science.
What most people seem to mean these days in public discourse these days is "orthodoxy". They are making nothing more than religious statements about their beliefs in science, which is really their faith in scientist, which is not much different than me trusting my local priest or the pope.
They need a few classes on logic and epistemology, without which even the process is largely unhelpful.
What happens if one replaces "juggling" by "strength"?

And regarding science, Alan Kay has an even better definition than mine :
"Science is a negotiation between what is out there and what we can represent."
It begins at 1:04:47 but the whole conference is of the highest interest.
When things connect, it's such a bliss...

when necessary and with as much precision than cues during a squat, then we all
become less dumb, necessarily. When enough people do that, it gives the
social network emergent properties like trust. Ideas have more to do with
light (they can superpose) than solid objects. These global emergent properties
rely on each and everyone of us and are mighty. Each individual
may threaten or empower emergent properties. Obviously, Rip is the center of it
and has the most influence, but any node that turns "rogue" must be dealt with
swiftly...
