    Hello Rip,

I've noticed Jordan recommend certain people increase sodium intake.

Just out of curiosity, do you personally aim to increase sodium intake?

If so, how do you go about doing this and what is your reason for doing so?

    Thanks,

    Matt

When my food is not salty enough, I add salt.

The average American eats 3400mg of salt every day. I can't imagine anyone being low on salt given how it is pretty much all over everything.

The average American eats 3400mg of sodium, which is not salt. Some evidence quoted in a review of thus topic suggests 3-6g sodium per day for optimal morbidity and mortality. For lifters and athletes, this is far too low

I've always felt that the chloride portion of salt is under-rated.

Where else does your body get chlorine for synthesizing HCL? It seems that the folks I know who complain of digestion problems don't salt their meat. Heresy! I eat a lot of red meat. The more acid, the better.

Will you be adding sodium to your Gainzz supplement now? How did anyone make gains before you came along?

I can't imagine caring about some average - legit or not - instead of my own consumption.
