I've been curious about this. I was aware of Ms. Conover before she was involved with SS/Aasgard because of her previous work in Electrocardiography (I'm a paramedic and her books are very well known known as and respected as in the ECG world).
How did Ms. Conover first become involved with SS/Aasgard?
We met her many years ago through CrossFit in Santa Cruz, where she lives, and have been friends ever since. She's been very important to our company.
Will, I certainly caught the sarcasm, but it left me thinking 'why'. Why dis someone's goals? What does that serve except to put him down. Did he get that treatment because of his name? I've STILL got my eyes to 1000 lbs total. Is it an ultimate goal? Not really but it is a goal nonetheless. At nearing 50 and a couple injuries under my belt I'll be thrilled when I hit that. Maybe it is a walk in the park for some ("he can get there in a month") or maybe most novices but I just can't wrap my head around belittling someone about it.
You really have no idea what a humorless hateful bastard Will really is. I'm glad someone who knows him better than I do finally dressed him down.
My brand of sarcasm is such a disgrace to the profession. I am forever in your debt for pointing this out and dressing me down amongst my peers. There is certainly no room for sarcasm to be used to prompt a novice trainee to question a poorly thought out goal. I thank you for correcting me. It certainly was infinitely worse than when you said this to another member: "way to blame genes and your arms.....at 170 lbs....."
