    It's possible to overdo anything. Try playing with the amount of air and see what happens.

    Yup, it was definitely using an overzealous valsalva that was the problem. Toning it down really helped.

    As to my other question, does anyone else get really bloodshot eyes when attempting PRs? I'm assuming this is normal?

    Most of us will get a broken capillary in the white of the eye on occasion. Nothing to worry about, part of the deal.

    Default Did the trick!

    starting strength coach development program
    Took in about half the amount of air during squats & deadlifts & for the 1st time, didn't feel like collapsing after the worksets.
