- i began lifting weights about two years ago, but i've only recently - in the last six months- wised up and started doing the big compound lifts. prior to this revelation i was doing a whole bunch of useless isolation lifts, never squatting or deadlifting, and getting shitty results. the real changes in my strength and physique came when i started barbell training.
