I do enjoy a small glass of red wine and recently, have been having one, and just one each evening. There is heart disease in my family, and since I love my fatty cuts if meat, I am thinking a small glass a day may actually be good for me in the long term.

What's your opinion on red wine in small quantities, in terms of health and training?

    Thanks

In my opinion, despite the issues with the existing data on moderate alcohol intake and cardiovascular disease risk and mortality- I do think that there's a small reduction in CVD risk in men who drink 2 drinks a day and women who drink 1 drink a day.

As far as training, its effect is negligible IMO.

Maybe the first two glasses, but after that squatting gets a bit sketchy.

I've seen that one. I am a bit leery of losing inhibitions around heavy weights.
