4.75lbs per week and 197lbs. Any more or less and YNDTMFP.
I'm 19, 150lbs (174cm/10 feet 8.5 inch) @12.5% body fat. The last 10 moths, I have also gained from 125lbs to 150lbs. So the rate of my muscle gain might be slower for the second year of training. My weight training stats clearly shows I'm a novice, that's why I'm gonna hop on SS in order to get my lifts up, especially aiming to squat 140kg for 5 reps by the end of the year (Currently 87.5kg for 5).
How much should I ideally gain per week in order to continuously add weight on the bar and prevent early stalling? And what should my end weight be at the end of the linear progression (or wht should my ideal weight be given my height)? This will at least give me an end game to strive for. Thanks!

Do I need to increase my food intake gradually just like increasing up to a gallon of milk a day (add 300-500kcal a day until I reach to 5000kcal a day) or can I immediate jump to 5000kcal starting today. My average kcal intake is 2900kcal/day?
4.75lbs a week? Isn't it 85.5lbs in 4 months? Way above 197lbs? Or is it a ballpark to shoot from at the initial part of the program? Just like your article in "To Be A Beast" where at the later stages of the novice progression, weight gain will be slowed down to 2lbs a week because at certain point, rate of fat gain will start exceeding the rate of muscle gain?
4real?! Jezus, its possible to put that much xtra weight on such a frame? Im asking cuz i have similar bodily stats.
I started LP in December, (2 years previous "exercise" history). Weighing in at 147 lbs, height 172 cm, 26 y\o. Squat start at 150 lbs. Weighing now 150 lbs, squatting 265 x 5. Definitely not DTMFP, and yes in desperate need for weight gain, but still adding 5lbs increments. Bw to squat ratio looks oké, although in absolute terms it's not that much yet. Can't imagine myself weighing 197 lbs, that be something.
