I am 275# with a high percentage body fat. I've started the basic SS program seriously since January. Since February I've last about 15#(my scale died so I'm using the gyms, exact values are suspect; although my belt tends to support the fact that I'm losing weight). I haven't changed my eating habits and am eating about 2900-3000 calories a day. Tend to stay between 90-150g values in the carb/protein/fat range with fat and protein being the biggest numbers usually.
At this point I'd planned on just building some muscle, and worrying about cutting later when I had something to cut to.
I am concerned that this will interfere with my training, but what I know of nutrition just has me confused. I went to the hospital nutritionist, they were positive 1200 cal/day was what I needed, and provided a 3 month meal list. My old doctor just shrugged and said 700 cal/day, but I'm pretty sure I'd get arrested at the nearest doughnut shop about a week in.
Any advice for this confused lifter would be greatly appreciated.
What is your question, Wasser?
Hope you're well.
