    Hi Jordan,

    1 month ago you gave my the advice to run my LP, aiming to add 1kg bodyweight a month tops.

    I'm wondering if I'm gaining too quick as I'm feeling a little bit flabbier.

    Here were my previous month stats vs now:

    Bodyweight 94kg ----> 96kg
    Squat 107kg x 5 ----> 120kg x 5
    Bench 58kg x 13 ----> 72.5kg x 6

    Should I worry I'm gaining weight too quick or just stay the current course and play it out another month or two?

    Cheers coach!

    That's not too fast, but I think you've probably reset LP multiple times by now, yes?

    Yes and no. I've reset several times in the past leading up to this but I havent reset once in the past month.

    I was hoping that if I'm eating to gain a 1kg a month or so up to about 100kg bodyweight, then I could stay on the LP for quite a bit longer.

    Also my progress is sometimes hindered due to recovery from work, sometimes I only have time for 2 sessions a week, et cetera.

    Well, that makes more sense. I'm not sure how tall you are but I think there are multiple reasons why LP isn't going as planned.

    How is my LP not going to plan? Do you mean in regards to rate of progression/adding weight to the bar?

    Yes. Lots of resets, missed sessions, etc. Life happens, I get it, but being objective here is also important!

    Cool thanks for clarifying.

    I'll just stay on LP for now then, eating the same?

    I guess I should also add, for anyone else reading/intetested too, that I've been using smaller weight increments too since I've been following GSLP.

    I currently prefer GSLP for it's flexibility, slightly more balanced programming, and more recovery etc.

    2.5kg increments for squat/deads.
    1.25kg increments for the bench/press.

    Given I'm not eating a larger surplus, should I just stick with this strategy for now too? Or should I step this up?

    Thanks

    Why do you think GSLP is more balanced and allows more recovery? And, similarly aren't you concerned with your rate of progression?
