Sorry, Andy, I know I saw this somewhere and I can't find it. Here's my program:

    4-day split
    M-TH Bench, Press, accessories
    Tues: squat
    Friday: DL

Sled pulls on squat/pull days until it gets too rainy out

Squat and DL are still on LP. Doing an older-guy TM split like this:

Week 1: Tuesday, bench 5x5; Thursday, bench singles (5), doubles (3) triples (2); then move up. Light 3x8 of presses after Bench ID.

    Week2: Same, but with presses.

Did I misunderstand this, in that I should be doing all my volume on Week 1, and intensity on Week 2?

Regardless, the way I'm doing seems to be working. Just wondering what your and your clients' experience has been.

    Thank you!

    50yo male
    198lbs
    Squat 285 for 5,4,3
    DL: 340 for a single; 330 x 4
    Bench: 230 for 3x2
    Press: singles 137.5

There are lots of different ways to set up the sets/reps. Volume/Intensity on alternating weeks is one way for sure.

My best is advice is that if you are getting progress out of your current set up - THEN DON'T CHANGE IT
